I'M
Avraham raskin.
AUGMENTED REALITY DESIGNER
As a child, reading Science Fiction novels about alternate worlds and futuristic humans led me to fall in love with AI & AR (Augmented Reality) and the unlimited possibilities they could enable us as a species moving forward. Since then, I have been obsessed with merging the two worlds; the ‘real’ and the ‘digital’, seamlessly together.
While a designer at Meta in the early days, I created the basis of a visual design language for AR and worked with the famous Jayse building Meta’s original design team. Together, we prototyped apps to experiment and conceptualize how to design the building blocks of AR - for the real world.
These days I’m creating relatable AR vision concepts demonstrating that AR is more than just Pokemon Go, and working on a brand new field: Augmented Sound. I’m creating the first pair of earphones that you will never want to take off - sort of like in the movie Her, minus the falling in love with your AI part.

MAPME
Consultant UI/UX Designer
MapMe is an online mapping storytelling platform. I led the redesign of their mobile experience, and to help them to go mobile-first which at the time was not a priority.
2014-2015
BAR ILAN ROBOTICS LAB
Research Intern for AI & Robotics
I focused on exploring the idea that robots have difficulty with social intelligence and as they will soon be inhabiting the same spaces as human they must be taught way how to better interact and understand us.

1SALEADAY
Interim Operations Manager
At 1Saleaday I worked a little in all areas. Focussing on inventory, making sure we had enough, it was all shipped out on time and dealt with customer experience. I also volunteered to redesign the landing page.

ITC
Coder and Designer
The goal of the project was to learn how to present big data to the user in a way that is easily understandable at a glance. This work is especially interesting to me as it will make car Dashboards smarter and is essential to how best to present data in a HUD or AR glasses.
2013-2014
META
Human Interface Designer
I was instrumental in starting up the design team at Meta. Together with Jayse Hansen, the designer of Jarvis from the fictional movie Iron Man we crafted the design language for the most popular AR headset.
